For Jeff's Father's Day present, I bought tickets to the Tiger's baseball game. We have beend dying to go and they have been playing so great this season. Kids 3 and under are free, so we decided to drag the kids along and see how it went. We had seats right on the 3rd baseline, 3 rows up, and dodged our fair share of foul balls (yikes). Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera, because it was just one more thing to lug with us, so we left it home. Just picture two really cute boys in their Tiger's gear, sitting in mom and dad's laps making complete messes of all of us, and having the time of their lives. Let's see..............Brady managed to get out of us 1 ride on the baseball ferris wheel, 1 ride on the carousel, 1 big foam hand "paw" ($15 dollars I might add-robbery), 1 hot dog, 1 bag of chips, and 1 bag of peanuts. Holy moly!!!! I also packed bottled water and juice boxes, so we went through 6 bottles of water and 4 juice boxes between the 2 boys.
On Saturday night's after the games they always do fireworks, however, the game was taking a while, and Bryce was losing patience (getting tired) so we bailed in the
8th inning. I think it was about 9:30. Poor Brady cried and cried because he couldn't see the fireworks, but sometimes that's just life. We would have really been pushing it had we stuck around, and both kids were zonked out before we hit
I-94. Overall, our first baseball game was a success. It was a great present for Jeff, and today we are going to do tons of yard-work-yahoo!!! I am off to make hot pot of coffee before Jeff gets up! Happy Father's Day honey, I love you!!!!
