Call Me Crazy

School is out........summer is in (sort of).  We had really nice, warm weather for 2 weeks, and now it is cold and rainy.  So much for being able to live outside and enjoy the water.  Now I am searching for cheap, fun activities to keep these kiddos entertained, otherwise I find myself going crazy trying to clean up after them all day long.  So, I think I have officially LOST it today, when I decided to make pudding and have them finger-paint with the pudding.  It was a hit though, and kept both kids sitting in one place for about 30 minutes.  They both ate their fair share of pudding, and the clean-up wasn't too bad at all.  Do you have any other fun activities to do with these kids?

He's just getting started

Getting down and dirty

We love oobleck...It is a Dr. Suess book. It is really just a mixture of cornstarch and water. It is so fun, and our kids can play with it for hours. It is hard when you hit it, but when you go to pick it up...it turns to liquid. Cool stuff! We also make Kool-Aid playdough, make sock puppets, have friends come over, have a picnic on the kitchen floor, build a fort, etc. Good luck! I wish it were cold, we are trying to beat the heat here!
