Happy New Year (& Merry Christmas)

Ok, so a slacker I have been.  I am obviously a little delayed in my blogging, but I just got all caught up in the holiday-hoopla, and had  little time for anything else.  Christmas this year was very magical in the Sattler houshold.  Brady embraced every minute of the season, and loved visiting Santa, loved singing carols, and baking dozens of cookies.  Bryce simply enjoyed undecorating my tree, and eating wrapping paper.  We spent Christmas Eve in our own home this year, and I must say it felt so nice, and right.  There is something so magical about putting Brady to bed, and playing up Santa's visit, and then anticipating Christmas morning.  Brady left Santa cookies and milk, and some carrots and celery for his reindeer.  Chrismtas Day we had family over, and had a wonderful meal of prime rib, yorkshire pudding, mashed potatoes, gravy, and green beans.  It was quite scrumptious.  Sunday after Christmas we went up north to Jeff's parents house, and had a lovely visit.  There was enough snow that Brady was in winter-heaven.  He loved sledding and playing around outside.  Bryce was a hit with the family as well.  This was the first time Aunt Kelli met her newest nephew, and I think she really thought he was something special.  It was so nice to be with everyone, and everyone was happy and healthy.

Now, here we are Jan. 1, 2010.  I cannot believe it.  I am looking forward to a new year, and a fun one at that.  Brady begins school next week, which is kind of bittersweet.  I don't quite know how I will feel the first time I drop him off and leave him for 4 hours.  Bryce is working on walking, he is waving hi and bye, and saying "uh-oh."  I cannot believe in 2 short months, my baby will be 1!  Where does time go?  My new year's resolution is to chill out a little bit with everything, and enjoy things a little more.  You know....not to sweat the small stuff.  I will enjoy a full year of not being pregnant, and enjoying my family.  I am hoping we can do a little traveling here and there.  My dad turns 60 in March, and Jeff and I are considering leaving the kids for a weekend (which would be a first) and flying out to NH to celebrate this momentous birthday.  We would also like to take  road trip somewhere with the kids in the summer.  I hope everyone has a blessed New Year.  I will leave you with some pics from our Christmas!  Love to you all!

Tell me Bryce doesn't look like his dad

P.S.  To all my family!  Please forgive my lack of Christmas cards this year.  I just didn't get to it, and I feel bad as we were so blessed this year, and I wanted to share with everyone.  I will try harder next year, but I did enjoy getting everyone else's cards.  :)
