A long overdue post

So, with moving in and everything, I have been MIA from my blogging.  There is not too much to say, other then we have been so busy.  The move went rather smoothly, and the house is looking-well, like a house.  I will eventually get some pics up, but for now, you can use your imagination.  There is so much to do around  here, but we are realizing to do one thing at a time, and maybe in 5 years, our house will be "just right."

We have also realized how you can quickly become "house-broke."  With so many things we "want " to do, we have to pick what "needs" to be done for now.  Luckily, because winter is around the corner, we can leave the outside (the 1.5 acres) until the spring, and focus on the interior.  So far, we have been able to paint Bryce's room (it was pink, and is now a beautiful "boy" yellow).  I also got new curtains hung and all his decor on the walls.  I am just on what seems to be an endless search for the perfect rug for his room.  We have also managed to rip down the wallpaper in Brady's room.  This was my first experience with ripping down wallpaper, and it scares me knowing just how much more we have ahead.  I will take one room at a time.  Jeff is going to repair some spots on Brady's wall, add some crown-molding, and a chair rail, and then we will paint it.  I am anxious for the boys' rooms to get finished, so we can tackle our bedroom.  Soon enough-hopefully.

Well, me and the boys are heading to Virginia on Wed. to visit my mom.  Wish me luck as this will be my first flying experience with both boys alone.  I am not nervous, but a little anxious.  Brady will be great, it is Bryce that worries me.  Hopefully, mom will have a large glass of wine waiting at home when I arrive.  I will post plenty of nice, new fall pics when I get home, and even some new house pics.  Happy Fall!!!!

Welcome to the joys of owning a home!!! You want everything finished now and then you realize how expensive everything is. I'm just now getting a new kitchen floor after 4 years and my basement still isn't even close to being finished. 1.5 acres?????? That is HUGE and AWESOME!!! Maybe J and I will build a house in your backyard! Kidding. Can't wait to see pics. Have fun in VA and say hi to Debbie for me. Love ya!
