Giving

We are trying to teach Brady the art of giving.........something kind of hard for a 3 year old to grasp, right?  Well, our church was distributing baby bottles today, and you are supposed to fill them up with change/money/check etc to give to one of the local pregnancy help centers in the area.  As we were walking out of church, it popped in my head to grab one and have Brady fill it with the change from HIS piggy bank.  Jeff and I talked to Brady about giving money so other kids can have nice things and so on.  He was so excited to come home and fill the bottle with his money.  He asked me why we give money to other people, and we explained to him that Jesus wants us to give our things (or to sacrifice our luxuries) to help out those less fortunate.  I really think he grasped the whole idea too.  It is pretty cool that he was so excited to fill the bottle and give his money away.  I can't wait for him to bring it to church next and return it full of money.  It is awesome teaching children valuable gifts, such as the gift of giving.  :)
