Bryce turns 1!!!!

Where does time go?!?  I know everyone says that when their little babies get to be a year old, but really, where does time go?!?!  It is such a bittersweet birthday, though.  I was just telling my mom that at 1, Brady seemed so "old" and Bryce still seems like such a "baby."  I am happy about that though, it was just an observation.  So, turning one means lots of change.  For one, we were able to turn his carseat around to a forward-facing seat, which is heavenly for all invovled.  I think he will be a much happier traveler now (atleast we can hope).  Also, bye-bye bottles, hello sippy-cups.  He doesn't even seem to miss his bottles either.  My favorite change, is bye-bye formula ($$$$)  hello cow's milk.  Now, we already go through about 5 gallons of milk a week, between Jeff, Brady and I, but adding Bryce in the mix will still be cheaper then buying formula.  Bryce really seems to enjoy his milk too, which makes it easy.  We are lucky, that both families have no allergies, so the transition to milk is pretty easy.

Bryce also took his first steps the day before his birthday.  He saw that I had some vanilla wafers for him, and he walked (very cautiously and wobbly) from the couch to the loveseat.  It was awesome, and the best part is that my mom (nana) was sitting there able to witness her grandsons first steps-awesome!!!  He is walking here and there, but still prefers crawling.  I am sure in a matter of a week or two, he will be a full-time walker, which means nothing is safe anymore.  Oh, how the next year will be change after change, and fun after fun.  I am looking forward to being able to have both kids outside this spring/summer, and watching Bryce walking through the yard, riding on scooty cars, playing in the sandbox, and being best buds with his big brother.

I will leave you with some pics from his first birthday party, which just consisted of grandparents and family.  Enjoy! and Happy 1st Birthday Bryce!!!

I love love love the cake!! She did a great job! I honestly can't believe that he is 1....it seems like yesterday we starting talking on facebook and you were 25 weeks pregnant. Of course our girls are 5 months old...so I don't know why it shocks me. :)
